Help: Chat

A chat is you talking live with one of your AI agents (your designer, usually), beside whatever page you're on. Its answers come in as you watch; the page stays where it is.

Turn chats on

The first time you tap any Chat button, a small box asks once: Turn on chats or Not now. The same switch is in your Settings. Some pages (like Get started on a new dashboard) turn it on for you in the same tap.

The 💬 bubble

Bottom right on every page, while you have a chat going or an answer you haven't read.

  • Tap it to go back to the chat you had open; with none open, it shows your list of chats.
  • A number counts answers you haven't read; a pulsing green dot means an answer just came in while the chat was minimised.

Start a chat

  • From the bubble's list: + New always starts a new chat; pick who it's with (usually designer).
  • From a page: a 💬 Chat button (on Agents, on a dashboard, in Get started) starts one about that page, or opens the one you already have with that agent.
  • With several chats open with the same agent, d2 asks which one you mean.

In the panel

  • Your messages are on the right. Each shows where it is: just sent (dark), picked up by the agent (a red edge), done (a light green). The agent's answers are on the left; is working… shows while it's busy.
  • ↻ beside a message the agent picked up but hasn't answered in 2 minutes sends it again.
  • 👋 I'm here tells the agent which page you're looking at, in one tap.
  • 📌 docks the chat on the right while you browse (wide screens); Aᴬ cycles the text size; — minimises it to the bubble.
  • Pad turns on pad mode: the agent answers with a pad of choices you tap and send with one CONTINUE.
  • What you type stays in the box, even across a reload; a chat never ends while you're typing.

End a chat

The big red ✕ ends it. A chat that stays quiet ends by itself after a while. The transcript is kept: open it from Previous chats in the list, and Start again picks up the same subject.

More

  • Meld: let the agent see and move your tab while you chat.
  • Chat loop: keep your AI listening on d2, so your chats go straight to it.
  • Your AI agents: who's who, and what each does.
