All your to-dos in one backlog¶✎ edit
Backlog collects every to-do in your project into one place. A to-do is a checkbox line in any topic:
- [ ] what to do
The counts at the top say how many are open, in progress and done, and across how many topics.
See your backlog¶✎ edit
Two tabs:
- List: the open to-dos, under the topic they're in, then by section. Each topic's heading links to it and says how many it has.
- Board: a lane per status: To do, Next, Doing, Waiting, Review and Done. To do shows the first 20, with and N more in the list; Done shows the last 10.
Each to-do links to where it comes from: the topic and its line. Click it to open the topic at that section.
Tick, set a status, or drag¶✎ edit
Members of the project can change to-dos here:
- Tick the box to mark it done.
- Pick a status from the menu beside it: To do, Next, Doing, Waiting, Review, Done.
- Drag a card to another lane on the Board.
Visitors see the backlog but can't change it.
Your changes are drafts¶✎ edit
Every change you make here is a draft: you see it, others don't until it's published. A to-do from your unpublished draft is marked draft.
The line under the tabs lists your drafts that have to-dos. Press Publish these to publish them all, or Review on the drafts page to look at each one first. See Drafts.
Make a to-do a pipeline item¶✎ edit
On projects with a pipeline, each to-do has To pipeline. It makes the to-do a pipeline item and opens it. A to-do that already links to a pipeline item doesn't show the button.
Worked examples¶✎ edit
- "What's open on the Checkout spec?" Open List and find the Checkout topic's heading. Its to-dos are grouped by section.
- "What is everyone working on right now?" Open Board and look at the Doing lane.
- "I finished three to-dos. How do others see that?" Tick them, then press Publish these in the drafts line.
- "This to-do needs an agent to build it." Press To pipeline on it. It becomes a pipeline item, and you land on it.
