- Publish your AI Putty project to the public and sell plans to its members: the landing page, who gets in, plans and prices, emails, and your earnings.
- brief
- Publish is the owner's wizard to open a project to the public and sell plans to the people who use it. Earnings shows what those plans bring in. Every step is a setting you can change later.
Publish your app and sell plans¶✎ edit
Publish opens your project to the public and lets you sell plans to the people who use it. It is a wizard for the project's owner, step by step (Back and Next). Every step is a setting you can change later.
What you publish¶✎ edit
- The whole project: it opens at its own address, with its landing, its pages and its apps, each part shown to the people you pick.
- One app, as its own project: the app becomes a project of its own and is all it shows; this project stays your workshop. Pick the app, and its Publish app makes the new project. Come back to Publish on the new project to sell plans.
Address and landing page¶✎ edit
- Two homes: your members land on HomeApp, a page made for you that you edit. You and your builders keep your usual home and dashboard.
- Landing page, what anyone sees at your address: make one from a template (what this is, a free taste and a Join button), use a page you already have, or use AI Putty's standard landing (log in or sign up, nothing about your project).
- Name on receipts: what buyers see on their receipt and invoice.
- Free to visitors: a page is free to visitors when it says
view: public. Inside a page, a part markedshow=<plan>shows only to members on that plan or above. Visitors see a Get to see this in its place.
Who gets in¶✎ edit
- Anyone joins free, then may upgrade (the default): members on the free plan see more than a visitor, and buy a plan for the rest.
- By request: they ask, and you let each one in on the free plan.
- By invite only: only the people you invite.
- Paid only (no free place) is coming.
Plans and prices¶✎ edit
The plan at the top of the list is the highest, and each plan includes every plan below it. The last one is the free plan everyone gets on joining. Click a plan to edit it:
- Yearly and/or monthly price, Renews at (the price from the second period on; empty means the same), and a free trial.
- On sale or Hidden (members who have it keep it). Use ↑ Up and ↓ Down to reorder, Remove, or + Add a plan.
- A new price is for new buyers. Members keep theirs until they change plan.
Your members' emails¶✎ edit
The emails your members get come from your project, and replies go to you. Edit the subject and text with {{name}}, {{project}}, {{link}}, {{project.url}} and, in some, {{at}}, {{subject}} and {{text}}. A preview shows each one. Each is saved as your project's own Template:mail-… topic. Delete one to go back to AI Putty's.
Getting paid and your earnings¶✎ edit
AI Putty sells your plans for you: checkout, receipts, refunds and sales tax are AI Putty's. What your members pay goes to your earnings, less card costs and AI Putty's fee. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout and AI Putty pays it, so it is never part of your earnings.
Earnings (the owner and admins) shows this month's sales and earnings, members per plan, every sale, and the year's statement as CSV. Refund is the owner's alone: it refunds one sale whole at Stripe, its tax too, and the plan it paid for ends at once.
For now, earnings pay for your own plan, add-ons and AI credits on Billing. Paying them out to your bank comes later.
Live¶✎ edit
The last step publishes. From there you can open the landing as a visitor to check it, or take it private again.
