Change the theme, text size and stylesheet¶✎ edit
Appearance sets how AI Putty looks for you, on every page. Tap a card and the change applies at once. Open it from Settings (user menu → Settings → Appearance); ‹ Settings takes you back.
Appearance: theme, text size, page width¶✎ edit
Each group is a row of cards, each with a small preview. The one in use is outlined.
- Theme: Auto follows your device, Light is always light, Dark is always dark. The page reloads after a theme change.
- Text size: Small (more on screen), Normal (the default), Medium (a bit bigger), Large (easiest to read).
- Page width: Normal keeps a readable column; Wide uses the whole screen.
- Preview at the bottom shows how text, cards and chips read with your choices.
You can also move between cards in a group with the arrow keys.
A line under the preview says what happened: Saved on your account, Saved for this device, or Not saved with the reason. If a save fails, your old choice comes back.
On your account, or this device only¶✎ edit
By default your choices are saved on your account, so they follow you to every device you sign in on.
Under Where it applies, turn on This device to give this browser its own look. Your account's look stays as it was. Turn it off again and this device follows your account once more.
Styles: pick a stylesheet¶✎ edit
A stylesheet is the colours and fonts of every page. Each has a light and a dark version, and the theme you picked chooses which one you see.
The Stylesheet group on Appearance names the one you use now (orange1 (the default) if you never picked one). Press Choose a stylesheet to open Styles.
On Styles:
- Each stylesheet shows its name, a short comment, and a Light and a Dark preview drawn in its own colours and fonts.
- The one you use is marked In use. Every other one has Use this stylesheet: press it and the page reloads in that style.
- Below the built-in ones, Style topics lists stylesheets written as Style topics, by you or your AI. Each has a Topic link to open it. One with mistakes shows Has errors and its list of errors, and can't be picked until it is fixed.
Your stylesheet choice is kept in this browser, not on your account. Pick it again on another device.
Examples¶✎ edit
- "The text is too small on my laptop. How do I make it bigger?" Open Appearance and tap Medium or Large under Text size. It applies at once.
- "I want dark mode on my phone but light at work." On the phone, turn on This device, then tap Dark. On the work computer, leave This device off and tap Light.
- "My tables are cut off. Can I use the full screen?" Tap Wide under Page width.
- "My AI wrote a stylesheet. How do I try it?" Open Styles, find it under Style topics and press Use this stylesheet. If it shows Has errors, open its Topic and fix the lines listed.
