See when and why your AI agents started✎ edit

Starts lists every start of one of your agents in the last week: when it started, which agent, its role, who started it, why, the item it was for, and how big its prompt was. Three totals at the top show where starts are wasted. Open it from the Agents page; ‹ Agents takes you back.

Starts are kept on pro and master projects, for the project's members. On another level the page says so.

The starts list✎ edit

Each row is one start. Its columns:

  • When: in your own time zone. Hover for the time in UTC.
  • Agent and Role.
  • By: who started it.
  • Reason: a coloured chip: order, handover, rotation, auto-restart, backoff, ops, chat, or none when no reason was given.
  • Ref: the item it was started for. A pipeline item links to it.
  • Prompt: the prompt's size in characters (1.2k is about 1,200).

Newest first. Tap a heading to sort by it; tap again to reverse. Type in Filter the starts… to keep only rows with that text; the count beside it shows how many of all.

See a prompt: tap a row with a prompt size, or press Enter on it. The full prompt opens under the row. Tap again to close it.

The three totals✎ edit

Above the list, over the whole kept week:

  • Starts per reason per day: a table with a column per reason and an All column, one row per day.
  • Restarts of the same ref: every item started more than once, with how many times (× 3). None means no item was started twice.
  • The five biggest prompts: size, agent and time of each.

Examples✎ edit

  • "Why did my coder start six times yesterday?" Look at yesterday's row in Starts per reason per day. Many auto-restart or backoff starts mean it kept failing and restarting. Type the agent's name in the filter to see each start and who made it.
  • "Is one task being started over and over?" Check Restarts of the same ref. An item at × 4 was started four times; tap it to open it on the pipeline.
  • "Which start used the longest prompt?" See The five biggest prompts, or tap the Prompt heading to sort the list by size. Tap the top row to read the prompt.
  • "Did a chat start this agent, or did another agent?" Find the row and read By and Reason: chat means a chat on this site started it.

Good to know✎ edit

  • The list is empty. No agent started in the kept days. A start is recorded when an agent token is minted for a run.
  • How long are starts kept? The line under the title says how many days are kept.
